TAOP Exercise: Colour Relationships

Part 1 Complimentary colours

The object here is to seek out images and make photographs of them where complimentary colours exist. Secondly to go on to select and make images using colours I personally enjoy and that I feel compliment one another.

Orange/Blue. Imposing and bold, stood to attention with the white building separating the key colours.

Red/Green. Classic poppy field, we all love these scenes but is it sub-conciosly more so because of the green/red relationship as well as the statement this makes about history?

Yellow/Violet. A still life put together on a greetings card theme. The yellow envelope takes the flower into its own frame within the frame.

Part 2 colour combinations that I liked…

The contrast of orange and blue, here at a fisherman's store in Beer in Dorset.

The soothing combination of violet and green, similar but I like how the violet pops here.
