I have acquired two film cameras, an Olympus OM10 complete with motor wind and various lenses and a 1980's Fed 5 Russian Rangefinder, both 35mm.
At the expense of a few rolls of Ilford B+W film I have been playing around trying to get to know the cameras. The Olympus is easy enough, its Aperture priority and that ok but the Fed5? wow its Alien. The Fed is a Russian Leica copy apparently and getting instructions, in English, was a job in itself. It is completely manual which is great for practicing the craft and really gets one thinking about light and settings and all. Thats the purpose of it really, to exercise my brain.
I am going to be regularly using both kits and will try to offer up some shots as I go. For now here are a few, starting with 3 of those from the OM10 and then 3 from the Fed5.
