My subject matter for this assignment was the Remembrance day service in November, or 'Poppy Day' as it is often referred.
The veteran prepares, it is a special day for anyone who may have served their country.
After years of perfectionism with dress and bearing the ex serviceman take real pride in their appearance on this day.
People arrive to show their support.
Young and old, we all know someone who has been affected by war.
The local Cadet Force is the only MIlitary representation these days, yet they still have an impressive presence. Today they are 'The Guard'
The guard is formed, and briefed by the commanding officer.
Old faces unite.
The Church arrive to join the ceremony.
2 minutes silence.
The silence continues, thinking of the fallen.
Laying of the wreaths, young ...
.. and old leave their message of thanks.
There are few survivors today, but those who are, will not miss this day.
Messages are written and left… we miss you
Friends re-united, one wonders how many years this took.
Messages are left, they will stand there for a year.
The final message.
